You all know how much I love ghee and using it to experiment with different recipes. Call me biased, but I’m firm believer in the health and culinary benefits from using this magical golden elixir.

Unfortunately, there are others who don’t share the same sentiment and there is a lot of skepticism surrounding ghee even though it’s been a staple in Indian cuisine for thousands of years.

This one surprised me personally, but it’s true! Many people are under the impression that consuming ghee on a regular basis can lead to unwanted weight gain and obesity because it’s a calorie-dense and fat-rich food. This is concerning for people with weight goals and they avoid it as a result.

However, ghee has actually been shown to prevent weight gain and even encourage weight loss because its high in omega-6 and 3 fatty acids.
